Quotes “Celebrating the end of the school year in June is a decades-old tradition and the COVID-19 isn’t stopping us from making that happen! The sense of community—and family—in Prince Edward County is what keeps everyone connected and together. This partnership with 99.3 County FM is another example of the HPEDSB helping students and families to feel part of our HPEschools family. We appreciate the efforts and radio time of 99.3 County FM to showcase the students of Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board. Congratulations to each of them!” – Sean Monteith, Director of Education “At 99.3 County FM, our volunteers were eager to do something significant to celebrate the students. It doesn’t matter the grade they’re graduating from, there are so many emotions for the students and families as the school year concludes. We are grateful to the Prince Edward County elementary schools for allowing us to be a part of the celebrations. By broadcasting at 99.3 FM and streaming the event (www.993countyfm.ca) we hope students and families from all grades will share in the joy of these PEC Grade 8 students.” – Craig Mills, Station General Manager Contacts

Starting school is an exciting time for young children and their families. All our elementary schools offer Kindergarten for Year 1 (JK) and Year 2 (SK). Quality early-learning experiences have the potential to improve children’s overall health and well-being for a lifetime. Our Kindergarten classrooms are caring, safe, inclusive and accepting learning environments that encourage children to reach their full potential. At HPEDSB, we believe that a partnership between educators and families is key to promoting the resilience and overall well-being of children. We understand that parents/guardians want to know about their children’s learning and progress in school. We’re here to help explain what to expect. Kindergarten Registration Online registration →Step one Complete the online registration for Kindergarten form Step two Once online registration is completed, parents/guardians must provide the school with copies of the following documentation:
Normally parents/guardians would be asked to go to the school to take in that documentation. Because of physical distancing due to COVID-19, we are taking an alternative approach to accept digital evidence (pictures of the above-noted documents) as verification. The school will contact you about this. *To apply for a birth certificate, follow these steps:
